Boating is a great way to experience the island and the beautiful scenery surrounding it.

Bolga Brygge & Kro offers high-standard overnight accommodation consisting of 6 rental houses, 4 apartments. Boat rentals are also available from the large boat park of 23 ft. Dolmøy fiberglass fishing boats and/or 19 ft. Kværnø aluminum fishing boats. Full-service pub & café with separate sanitary facility: WC, showers, laundry room.
The north side of the island is accessible via the hole in Bolga Mountain, Bolgbørra. It's a beautiful stretch of pristine shoreline and a great place for a walk. The hiking trail along the beach takes you all the way around to the south side of the island where there is a nice picnic area with tables and a lean-to shelter.
Isolated, but accessible. Bolga has daily ferry service from Ørnes with two stops along the route at Vassdalsvik and Meløya.

This brand new hiking map of Bolga shows the three hiking trails, which are being waymarked by the Bolga Athletic Club this summer. The map also shows were the best viewpoints are situated on the island, along with sites with picnic tables, sandy beaches, lean-to shelters, etc.
